Introduction

For installers, bringing vision to life often means balancing beauty, durability and practicality and that’s exactly what Hebel achieves at the Newport Residence. Here, designers Jasper Brown and Michael Bailey partnered with builders to craft a beautiful waterside home that prioritizes family connection while maintaining privacy. Central to this design? Curved elements that not only enhance aesthetic appeal but also deliver practical weather protection—a win for both functionality and style.

The Newport Residence, built for a mother and son who run a business together, serves as both a private haven and a social hub. This unique design demanded a material that could handle curves and withstand harsh waterfront conditions, with Hebel rising to the challenge.

The Challenge of Curves – Solved with Hebel

Curves can be a challenge, especially in construction. But with Hebel, installers benefit from a material that is strong, quick to work with, and versatile. Its high-performance panels can be faceted to create the exact curves the project requires, allowing for smoother installation and reliable longevity. As the preferred choice for walls, floors, and external cladding, Hebel enables an efficient build.
Michael highlighted how Hebel made it possible to anchor the ground floor, adding stability to the base. This approach allowed the upper floor to achieve a “floating” effect, which enhances the waterfront view without sacrificing durability. Hebel’s adaptability allows for curves that connect spaces effortlessly, guiding movement and creating a balanced flow between communal and private areas.
